Desiderata
Desiderata a rule for the harmony
of life and its purpose, was taken from a text dated 1692 found in old St. Paul’s Church Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The text has been skillfully embellished in the Celtic style reminiscent of the jewel
like illustrations in the ancient Book of Kells found in the library of Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland an inspiration addition to any Office or place of study.
“Amid the noise and haste
remember the PEACE one finds in silence. Be GRACIOUS, CALM in discord and Gentle with people of lesser station Speak your TRUTH quickly not loudly. Let caution in YOUR business not blind you
to the virtues in others Whatever LOVE you give make certain it be true Feigned affection is worse than a curse……………” Etc.
