event

barriers
to
children�s
right to
play in

community.

event,
When
Kids
Decide:
Realising
the
Right to
Play in
the
Lower
Shankill,
is being
held
from
10am-1pm
at
Living
Hope
Church
in the
Shankill
Estate.

planning a
reunion dinner

organisers need

Hampden Star
F.C. was formed
in 1972, as a
breakaway from
the 120th BB Old
Boys at Immanuel
Presbyterian
Church, in Agnes
Street.

Just two weeks
before the
Christmas
holidays, in the
midst of friends
a legend who
devoted his life
to education, a
gentleman with a
huge personality
passed away. The
Shankill Mirror
pays tribute to
a man who
moulded the
lives of
countless
hundreds of boys
from across
North Belfast
and the Greater
Shankill who
were pupils at
the Boys Model.
In this fitting
tribute William
Humphrey who was
head Boy at the
Boys Model
recalls his
memories of the
legend that was
Ernie Davis�.

intention

revising

reanimating
the
current
Greater
Shankill

Plan. As
part of

process
there is
an open
invitation
to those
groups
who are
presently
not
engaged
in a
relevant
task
group to
become
involved.
